As Connacht’s oldest-existing brewery, Galway Hooker has crafted a reputation as innovators and taste-makers – we like to do things differently, and we love those who do likewise. That’s why we’re proud to partner with the amazingly talented Cathy Hughes for our incredible range of seasonal cans. Cathy’s striking and unique artwork will adorn our limited-edition drops throughout the year – and we couldn’t be more excited about it…after all, every canvas deserves an amazing piece of art.
ABOUT CATHY HUGHES
GalwayArt.ie promotes the best of Ireland through Irish art created by Cathy Hughes, a West of Ireland native. Her original art style is Abstract Mixed Media using Irish textiles, Aran knitwear, antique maps, and objet oeuvre d’art from the Wild Atlantic Sea. She lives in Salthill by Galway Bay.
Get to Know Our New Seasonal Beers
If you know Galway Hooker, you’ll know that we just love thinking outside the box when it comes to our brewing process. Coming up with new ideas is a big part of who we are – we’re inspired by the sea to be fresh, daring, and ready for adventure. That’s why we craft seasonal beers so often – and this year, we’ll be releasing six savour-worthy beers, each of which harbours distinctive flavours and experiences. It’s only right that we partner with Cathy Hughes for this because of how beautiful her artwork is – as well as what it represents.
Wild Sea Swimmers – This 7% Baltic Porter is the perfect way to warm yourself after a dip in the ocean, but enjoyable no matter how you’re spending your time.
Galway Girl – A 5.2% Hazy IPA, this seasonal brew has tropical, citrus, and pine notes you’re sure to love.
